La Closerie from Domaine Octavie is a 100% Cot de Loire red wine. Better known across the Atlantic under the name of Malbec, this old Touraine grape gives a red wine of good intensity. A wine that needs keeping : the winemaker recommends a minimum of 2 years, up to 8 years of aging. On the palate: notes of sour cherries. Nice texture with the tannins of a Malbec on the finish. La Closerie du Domaine Octavie will probably be the perfect match to a barbecued rib steak or game.
