When does the Loire Valley wines harvest begin?

Well, we are not expecting the exact day. Any ideas of the period?
The answer

The harvest of Loire Valley wines generally starts in September but …

Due to the wide variety of wine types found in the Loire vineyards, the harvest is spread over a relatively long period. This usually starts in September and lasts until mid-November (for semi-dry and sweet wines). The grape varieties also have an influence on the start date of the harvest. Thus dry white wines made from Chardonnay, Melon de Bourgogne or Folle Blanche are generally harvested first. Cabernet Franc and Chenin Blanc, the two emblematic varieties of the Loire, will be harvested a little later.
