Domaine Nau Frères

On the historic borders of Touraine and Anjou, the Nau family has been making wines for four generations.The Nau frères winery has produced Bourgueil wines of impressive quality and consistency over the years. As a reminder, we are here in Ingrandes de Touraine, not far from the banks of the river, where the alluvial soils give lighter and fresher Bourgueil wines with aromas of red fruits and liquorice. Les Blottières and Les Grisottiers fall into this category and are two vintages at simply incredible prices.The Nau frères winery also offers a fairly pleasant rosé, while the powerful and more sophisticated cuvée “Vieilles Vignes” has been called Les Brunetières since the 2017 vintage from the cadastral name of the plot from which it comes. Note the smaller last cuvée of the winery, called “La Cigogne” (The Stork). It comes from the only “young” vines of the winery : planted in 2010, first vintage in 2014, the 2017 vintage received a gold medal in Paris in 2019, while the 2018 vintage received a “liger d’or” in 2020.
