Wine growing in the Mabileau clan dates back to 1620! The current Frédéric Mabileau estate was created in 1988 when vines were planted on the plot of … Rouillères. Since this first plantation, the estate has undergone a conversion to organic viticulture and biodynamics. The old vines of the “Les Rouillères” cuvée give this wine richness and concentration. Red fruits on the nose, with a soft, juicy structure and a fair acidity. Truly one of the finest examples of the Saint-Nicolas-de-Bourgueil wine appellation and an excellent example of single-varietal Cabernet Franc. A wine that has become a neo-classic of the Loire Valley thanks to Frédéric Mabileau, an exceptional winemaker, too soon departed.
Worth tasting is Frédéric Mabileau's Saint Nicolas de Bourgueil wine
